Leading the pack at Thruxton
Why do seemingly sensible people drive half way round
the country to then drive round in circles on a cold, wet, and windy
ex-airfield. spend a fortune, and then return home, to spend the next few weeks
preparing a car to go and do it all again...??
Clubman's motor racing is only seen by a few hardy
spectators, and the amazingly dedicated marshals, yet it has more incident,
action, and characters in one race, than is seen in a whole season of Formula 1.
The atmosphere in the paddock is one of co-operation between the drivers, and
the competition on the track is normally fierce but clean.
Powerbase have prepared and maintained a
number of race cars over the years. The majority have been driven by the
company's founder Julian Belcher. Please use the links below to learn a
bit more about clubmans racing, the cars, and Julians slightly biased look at
his own racing history.
